Nimco-Deeqa is an independent filmmaker from Somaliland who is inspired by the Somali oral tradition of storytelling. Nimco exhumes Somali stories and especially explores stories about women, resilience and living in the global south. By combining her love for storytelling and interest in science, she hopes to highlight the plight of climate refugees in the horn of Africa.
