Nimco-Deeqa is a MFA for Film-making candidate from Somaliland who is inspired by the Somali oral tradition of storytelling and hopes to exhume Somali stories. She especially wants to explore stories about women, resilience and living in the global south. She hopes to combine her love for storytelling and interest in science by highlighting the plight of climate refugees in the horn of Africa.
